In case of lost REST API keys, how to delete the existing connection and create a new one from scratch
Background:
Before you can connectyour WooCommerce store to my-studio, youmust generate REST API keys, give proper READ/WRITE permissions and use that while creating a connection in my-studio. These REST API keys are one-time use and should not be altered once a connection is made.
Issues:
In cases when youobserve some issues in your connection, you may try edit or delete the old REST API keys and create new ones and use that to connect to yourexisting WooCommerce store. This will NEVER work, as once the REST API keys are changed or deleted, we lose rights or access to original connection. Any changes done in your WooCommerce shop after that would not be reflected in my-studio.
Solution:
To avoid the above scenario, it is highly recommended to never change/edit/delete REST API keys once a connection is made. Alsoproper READ/WRITE permissions should always be given.
But in cases where the REST API keys are mistakenly deleted or changed, the solution is to delete the existing connection (that used old REST API keys) and create a new one.
This can be done by simply clicking the DELETE icon in front of your connected WooCommerce store (as shown below). Once that is done, you can generate new REST API keys for the WooCommerce store and use them to connect again with my-studio.
